Viviana Pebble is an innovative antenna designed for body-worn wireless transmitters used in film, television, theatre and corporate production.
In traditional wireless systems, range is often limited because the human body absorbs and blocks RF energy. When a standard whip antenna is placed close to the body, much of the transmitted RF energy is directed into the body where it is absorbed and dissipated.
Viviana Pebble solves this problem using patented BodyWave technology.
The rear surface of Viviana Pebble acts as a ground plane, directing RF energy away from the body and the patented technology of the antenna allows signals to ‘creep’ around it rather than into it.
This allows the signal to propagate far more efficiently into the surrounding space.

Because RF energy is directed away from the body, the transmitter operates more efficiently compared with traditional whip antennas worn against the body.

These plots show the absolute radiated gain of each antenna in all directions when worn on a body phantom that simulates the electrical properties of the human torso.
In simple terms:
A larger plot with warmer colours means the antenna is radiating more effectively in those directions
To wear the Pebble, you can use the Viviana Extreme Straps (single pouch version) by placing the Pebble inside one of the two pouches designed for the lav mic cable.
IMPORTANT: The back side of the Pebble, where it is marked “BACK,” must be in contact with the body.
The cable connecting the Viviana Pebble to the TX can be placed inside the Pebble pouch, but it must stay on the back side (where “BACK” is marked), and absolutely not on the front or on the sides of the Viviana Pebble.
Viviana Pebble is super low profile and easy to conceal on any part of the body. It is essential that the side marked “BACK” is always in contact with the body.

Although they’re built to last, they’re considered consumable gear — part of a normal production cycle.
In continuous testing, they’ve proven reliable for over 180 days of constant use before showing signs of wear.
Even after that, they remain functional, but we suggest replacing them periodically to ensure maximum hygiene and performance.
Viviana Straps Extreme can be washed either by hand or in a washing machine at 40 °C (104 °F).
